Application of Nanotechnology in Insect Pest Management: A Review

Insect pests are one of the most concerned biotic obstacles in agriculture and humans constantly search new strategies to control them. Chemical pesticides extensively used for controlling insect which cause a lot problem, such as pest resistance, elimination natural enemies, environmental pollution, loss biodiversity human health hazards. As an alternative strategy, application nanotechnology management can be promising ways overcome problems related conventional chemical pesticide. According various research findings, nano based materials described very effective because they have larger surface area ensures contact more volume with pests. They also provide selective, targeted long term-controlled release formulation nanomaterial is ecologically viable. Moreover, required amount nano-insecticide small thus pesticide load environment gets reduced. So, use considered environmentally sustainable brilliant strategy green agriculture. SAARC J.
